if you could see what i see...

trees changing into their winter clothes. trying on their autumn colors. they remind me of stability, constance, permanence, remaining. they move with the wind but are not uprooted. if you could see what i see you would see their translucent leaves glittering and dancing, shadows shaking on their wooden frames. if you could see what i see you would see something strong.

  1. If you could see what I see, you'd ache and sweat and bleed for them. You'd have nightmares and regrets, have survivor's guilt from the simplest experience of enjoyment or smallest realization of providence. You'd forget how to understand commercials and shopping malls, and wonder how you can live in two worlds at once.

And then it would happen...you'd see just one of them smile at something you thought was making no difference, and you'd get up tomorrow and repeat the cycle.
